At the Ralph Vernachia invite in Bellingham, Hughes had another great weekend, running 4 events and helping the men's team to a second-place finish against mostly 4-year schools. He helped the 4x100 team to second place in 40.87, 6th in the 110 meter hurdels, and ran a conference lead by over a second in the 400-47.63 (9th All-Time at Spokane). Then Hughes came back and ran 53.21 in the 400 meter hurdles to place second.
