COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
The NWAC continues to emphasize community service at each of our events.
This year, the NWAC will partner with Cornerstone Community Housing. They are a local organization that builds quality, affordable housing for people living on limited incomes while offering services that promote opportunities for personal growth and economic independence. While the tournament is going on, they will be in the midst of their "Back 2 School Clothes Challenge" and will be collecting new clothing items for school aged children 5-18 years old. The donated clothing will then be distributed to their 500+ kids that live in their housing properties, helping them to have a new outfit or clothing item for the first day of school. View more information on the Back 2 School Challenge HERE and view the campaign flyer HERE.
The NWAC is asking each player and coach to bring 1-3 clothing items to donate to the cause. This is a significant opportunity for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans to benefit students in need in the Springfield/Eugene area. Donations can be dropped off in the lobby at the Bob Keefer Center. Our goal is to provide 500 articles of clothing if everyone provides at least one item!
